Health Ministries Retreat

Bio: Steve and Karen Wickham are both registered nurses who have run a ministry teaching others how to reverse Type 2 diabetes. Their classes have been taught in at least 17 states. Over the past 12 years, they have received recognition from multiple entities for their work in improving community health. The story of their work was picked up by National Public Radio and US News and World Report. They have appeared on multiple radio and television programs, and podcasts. Their seminars have been taught in community centers, libraries, city halls, churches, train stations, grocery stores, and more. They come prepared to share how God has led them in this ministry and will provide valuable information about how to operate a successful health ministry. Stephen Wickham has undergraduate degrees in Chemistry, Music, and Nursing with a master’s degree in public administration. He is also a health coach through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in New York. He authored a community-based educational program, teaching people how to reverse Type 2 diabetes. Karen Wickham is a Registered Nurse who is also certified in plant-based nutrition. The dynamic duo have worked together for the past eleven years in health ministry. They have received multiple awards for their work and have been featured on National Public Radio and in U.S. News and World Report. Though now retired, they are coming to share what they feel are the most important aspects of a successful health ministry.
