Brief Explanation: The Camp Meeting Committee has voted to allow Dogs at Camp Meeting if they register at the Welcome Center, signing a document agreeing to all the rules.
More Details: This new policy will hopefully allow more people to attend Camp Meeting, especially in the RV's and Campers. We have structured the guidelines around what you might find at most campgrounds across America. Dog's will NOT be allowed in the meeting tents or buildings unless they are Service Dogs.
Required to Register: Proof of rabies vaccination is REQUIRED!!
Rules
- Cleanup Waste: You must pick up after your dog. Bring your own doggie waste bags and dispose of it properly.
- Short Leash: Dogs must be on a short leash (6 feet or less) when outside of a vehicle, camper, or personal tent.
- Barking/Noise: No person shall allow animals to bark or emit other noise which unreasonably disturbs other people.
- No Aggression: Owners are responsible for the result of any aggressive outburst of their dogs. It is your responsibility to maintain control of your dog at all times.
- Not Allowed in Tents: Dogs are not allowed in the canvas family tents or meeting tents.
- Not Allowed in Buildings: Only registered service dogs are allowed in buildings or meeting tents.
- Take Care: Owners should be aware when pets are unattended (including in the car or at the campsite) that temperatures can quickly rise to dangerous levels. Ensure that your dog has adequate shade, ventilation, food, and water.
- Exercise Area: Owners may take their dog to the very end of the soccer fields, away from people and tents, and let them run on a longer leash.
