Recalibration Plan

Goals

  1. Every Pastor to hold at least one evangelistic meeting per year until Jesus returns (Revelation 14:6-12).
  2. Every member to be trained by their pastor and the Conference(through Connect Academy and other resources), to disciple (at least) one souleach year into the body of Christ (Ephesians 4:11-12).
  3. Every district works so that its sister churches collaborate to plant at least one new congregation every 3 to 5 years. Ellen White wrote,"Upon all who believe God has placed the burden of raising up churches."
  4. Every Elder, Deacon and member to be equipped by their pastor and the Conference (through Connect Academy, Elder’s Connect, and other resources), so that their congregation may conduct itself without reliance upon a paid minister (1 Peter 5:1-5).
  5. We are determined that churches no longer experience years in which zero baptisms occur. Leaders: seeking lost sheep is our highest priority! We are to disciple into Christ and equip missionaries (members) in the full third angel’s message (Matthew 28:18-20; Revelation 14:6-12).
Suggested approach for how to develop your recalibration plan:
STEP 0: Have you read all three resources promoted at the beginning of the "Recalibration for Mission" plan (The Bible’s book of Acts; NNEC Revival in the East; Wes McDonald, Let My PastorsGo)? If not, make time to do so before continuing this process.
STEP 1: Before proceeding, carefully read all of the recalibration questions in the form below. Take time. Consider your initial reaction to the Recalibration Plan Goals. Did you feel alignment or consternation? (You are not expected to answer this question in the form; this is just a self-check.) Next, seeking the Lord and brainstorming, write down your initial responses to the questions in the form.
STEP 2: Plan meeting(s) with your missionaries (members) to explore the questions with them. Allot enough time to collaborate with them in developing fuller answers. You are unlikely to finish preparing your plans for this form in one meeting. In your meeting(s), when some ideas have been suggested by participants, pause for prayer. Rinse and repeat; clarification will come. Missionaries need to have their part in developing a plan for which they feel a sense of ownership. It should be a combination, worked out with the pastor, not merely a rubber-stamp plan hatched by the pastor.
STEP 3: Finally, complete this form by downloading the word document, filling it in, and emailing it to lkirkpatrick@nnec.org.

Task

Each district leader should complete the Recalibration Form and email it to lkirkpatrick@nnec.org.
