About

Larry Kirkpatrick

Larry had never professed Christianity. In 1988 several friends and family died at about the same time. If God is good, why does He permit us to suffer and die? That question propelled Larry into a Bible read-through to discover what kind of person God actually is. He set out to make a moral evaluation of God. Soon it became clear to him that he himself was lost, himself guilty. He was in need of a personal Savior. And there was Jesus, waiting. Besides reading the Bible through, Larry began searching for God’s people. Which group most closely aligned with Scripture? Joe Crews’ program Amazing Facts played an important part in clarifying the way to go. From his grandmother Larry was given a book—the Great Controversy. Can’’t stop now!

Soon after his baptism, the Gladstone Park Oregon church gifted Larry a partial sponsorship to Walla Walla University (WA) to study for the ministry. In 1994 Larry graduated Southern Adventist University (TN) and accepted God’s call to serve in Nevada-Utah Conference, where in 1996 he met and married Pamela. While serving in California, Larry and Pamela added Seamus and Mikayla to the family. For 31 years Larry and Pamela have led congregations inNevada, Utah, California, Idaho, Washington, and Michigan. Larry and Pamela have four children: Etienne, Melinda, Seamus, and Mikayla.
